Registering embroidery data (individual registration)

Specifying the standard character height

  1. Start up Font Creator.
  2. Click , and then select [New Font Mapping] from the command list.

    The [Set Standard Character Height] dialog box appears.

  3. Specify the standard character height. For this example, click [Set standard character height from embroidery file] to specify the height of the embroidery pattern as the standard.
    1. User-defined size

      The entered value will be the standard character height. Select "mm" or "inch" as the measurement units.

    2. Set standard character height from embroidery file

      The height of the selected embroidery pattern will be standard character height.

  4. Select the pattern that will specify the standard character height, and then click [OK].

    For this example, select the "M" character.

    The height of the selected pattern will be standard character height.

Selecting the embroidery data to register

  1. From the [Select Character] box, select the character to be registered. For this example, select "D".
  2. Click [Single Import] on the [Home] tab.
  3. Select the embroidery file to be registered, and then click [Import] then click [Close].

    To change the folder, click .

    The registered character appears.

Selecting additional embroidery data

  1. From the [Select Character] box, select the character to be registered. For this example, select "P".
  2. Click [Single Import] on the [Home] tab.
  3. Select the embroidery file to be registered, and then click [Import].

    The registered character appears.

    • To change the standard character height to the height of the character embroidery pattern currently being edited, click [Standard Character Height], and then select [Size of character being edited].

Adjusting the character position

  1. Click in the [Tools] group, and then click the character.

    Dotted lines appear around the character.

  2. Drag the character to move it.

    When text is entered with the registered font, the text will have the height specified in the [Set Standard Character Height] dialog box.
