Registering embroidery data (batch registration)

  1. Prepare the embroidery data to be registered, and rename them so that the character in each file can be identified by the file name.

    Characters are registered according to the file name of the embroidery data.

    In order to differentiate uppercase and lowercase letters, add "u_" at the beginning of file names for uppercase letters, and "l_" at the beginning of file names for lowercase letters (for example, u_A.pes or l_a.pes).

    For characters that cannot be used in file names, specify their file names as shown below.

  2. Start up Font Creator.
  3. Click , and then select [New Font Mapping] from the command list.

    The [Set Standard Character Height] dialog box appears.

  4. Specify the standard character height.
    For this example, specify a character height of 146.5 mm, and then click [OK].

  5. Click [Multiple Import] on the [Home] tab.
  6. Select the files to be registered.
    1. Select All

      Click to select all files.

    2. Deselect All

      Click to deselect all files.

  7. Click [Import].

    When registration is finished, one of the registered characters appears in the Design Page, and the [Browse] dialog box appears.

  8. Select the character whose position is to be adjusted, and then click [Select].
  9. Adjust the position of the character.

  10. Save the registered characters.

    • Embroidery files of the following types will not appear in the file list of the dialog box.
      • Files where the embroidery pattern size exceeds 500 mm
      • Files where the embroidery pattern size is less than 5 mm
      • Files where the hoop size has been set to a large-size split embroidery frame, jumbo frame or a multi-position hoop
      • Files that contain a cutwork pattern
