Removing/Attaching the Needle Plate

Removing the Needle Plate

  1. Press (Needle position button) to raise the needle.

  2. Turn off the machine.

  3. Remove the bobbin cover, needle, presser foot, and needle plate cover.

    Cleaning the Race

  4. Insert the screwdriver into the hole on the needle plate and push to detach the plate.

  5. Slide out the needle plate from the left side and remove it.

Attaching the Needle Plate

  1. Insert the tabs on the needle plate into the notches on the machine.

  2. Press down on the left side of the needle plate to snap it into place.

  3. Reattach the needle plate cover.

  4. Reattach the presser foot and needle.
